Jenny Jacklin Stratton
Bio: Jenny Jacklin Stratton is a documentary artist, editor, and educator whose creative practice engages art and storytelling as emergent processes for co-creation, restorative narratives, and acts of care. Alongside photography, Jenny’s work often involves environmental image-making, animation, archives/research, writing, walking and ongoing collaboration. They were a Lewis Hine Fellow at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University and also completed a U.S. Department of State FLAS Fellowship in Arabic Language and Middle Eastern Studies.
In 2024, Jenny co-created Enter/Exit, a project of methodologies, critiques, poetry, and art that outlines trauma-informed and alternative approaches to visual journalism. Jenny is also a contributor to the Sustainable Darkroom re:source project, which investigates sustainability and its complexities within photography—developing experimental methods, research, and support for practitioners seeking to approach their work in more ecologically conscious ways.
